False Accusations of Anti-Semetisim in Courtroom not Believed by WIse Judge and Prosecutor

This is gossip. Its what happenned recently on a case I had. It made me think wow, some people will say anything. Had a client that had a failed relationship and did something stupid by stealing something from that person. My client was caught. He gave a full confession and our goal was diversion. Diversion is punishment without the longtme stigma. AFter you do the punishment the case is dismissed. Pretty good thing for less serious crimes. However, victm must agree. They did not. They wanted my client to be buried under jail. In a hail mary attempt, I requested a hearing for court ordered diversion. The judge was abouyt to make ruling in our favor and victim spoke up. They claimed that my client was a racist. That specifically he made anti-semetic remarks. Listen to the story. Thank God for fair minded judges and prosecutors as this could have gone really bad. They system sometimes gets it right and in this case. I had a remorseful client that did something stupid after a few drinks. Cleint stole. The victim changed the story an made up facts to acquire money. Basically said, the item taht was stolen was double teh price it really was and then objected to sentence. I say two wrongs dont make a right.
