Police Corruption has been around for many years. Recently, the news is depicting more and more police officers using unlawful force against civilians. The reason for this is cell phones and regular citizens taking notice. Unfortunately, because officers do it so often it has become an accepted practice that police officers put their hands on regular folks. The police do not have absolute power but they are protected and their word is accepted over that of the average guy. When there is an altercation with police there is nearly always an arrest. The civilian usually gets pummeled and the charges add up. The civilian goes for a ride in the police car, experiences, the booking process, the strip search, the cold floors, and cold rooms. Those arrested are treated like animals. All of this happens when there is an arrest. What about officers that lie? What about police officers that give preference to their co-workers rather than citizens? Usually, they win. The police officers usually win but not today!  Not in this criminal case.  The criminal charges were dismissed.
