House Arrest in Florida. Two Types: Pretrial Release or Sentencing Requirement. Stay out of Jail

We are talking about house arrest in Palm Beach County Florida.

Two types of people on house arrest.

  • People that are on pre-trial arrest or SOR, meaning your case is pending. This type of house arrest is the most restrictive. You will be drug and alcohol tested. You may be required to take a drug and alcohol evaluation or some other condition the judge ordered or
  • People that have been sentenced to house arrest as part of their sentence.

Could be a jail sentence that your attorney was successful having converted to house arrest or part of your probation is a term of house arrest.

House arrest means you are confined to your home.

You can't cut your lawn, you cant go to the mailbox, you cant swim in your pool, you cant go out of your home.

You can go to do things but you need an itinerary.

Some things may need to be ordered by the judge, for instance you need to go to New York for a funeral.

You will request an order to travel.

Getting a haircut will be worked out with your house arrest officer. Check out the video.
